Hey there, my amazing listener, welcome and thank you for tuning into episode 287 of the Small Business Made Simple Podcast.

This month, the month of March, my podcasts are going to be under the theme of “Amplifiers.”. So all month I will be talk about and talking to experts about amplifying you in the business world and/or amplifying your business.

I have some amazing guest interviews to share and they’ll be some “Jenn” episodes as well.

Each month, hopefully, if it works out, will have a theme, hopefully it will help you whilst navigating this thing called “business” and also keep you coming back to episodes as needed.  For example, speaking as an amplifier in your business might not be for you this month, but maybe it will be totally something you need to hear again in November!

So, what’s an amplifier you might ask?

Well, to me, it’s things like speaking, podcasting, media commentating, referrals, writing books, creating lead magnets – basically anything that amplifies who you are and what you do and what you sell! It’s basically what you do to ATTRACT people, potential buyers, or existing customers into your world.

But before we get into today’s episode, I’d love to tell you about my brand new, exclusive offer – a VIP Marketing Experience in the Penthouse! Yep, I’ve hired a Penthouse and for a whole day 9 am to 4.30 I am going to help you get your marketing strategy done for 12 months. There’s only 6 spots (4 left at the time of recording) so it will be intimate and fast paced and very action orientated.  Keen to know more? Well go to https://bit.ly/VIPMelb or find the link the show notes at www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au/287 It’s on Thursday 18th April in the CBD of Melbourne.  I’d love to have you be one of my guests in the Penthouse!

Of course, whilst you’re on my website looking at that, don’t forget to get a copy of my book Small Town Big Impact, with 107 Simple marketing strategies in it! It’s a marketing bible!

Today my guest is someone who you’ll love at the end, just as much as I do. Andrew Griffiths is the man who pushed me to write a book, who pulled me off the cliffs when writing that book got too hard and now when I fondly remember the book writing process, tells me the stories I’d forgotten (like the cliff stories!).  He is brilliant and his speaking career is one I am very envious of.

I asked him to come on the podcast during March to talk about using speaking and book writing as amplifiers of your message, your brand, your business and you but as you listen in, the interview takes a turn neither of us saw coming.

It’s better than I’d hoped. It’s more insightful then I could have imagined. Get your pen and paper ready because this interview is a cracker for sure.

I’ll let Andrew tell you about himself his story shortly – actually he tells you little bits throughout the whole podcast because he’s so masterful at storytelling.

Here’s Andrew:

How did you enjoy that? Can you see what I meant when I said I got Andrew on to talk about speaking and book writing but it totally went another way? A brilliant other way though?

Storytelling my best podcast friend – how much of it do you have in your marketing?  Go and do an audit on your marketing – what stories do you tell, what stories do you HAVE to tell? Story telling is such an important part of community building and community building is such an important part of your business success.

What did you take away? Send me an email, a DM or jump into the Like Minded Business Owners Facebook group and let me know.

I have so many great episodes coming up in March – all around amplifiers, so there will probably be more than an episode a week – so make sure you’ve clicked the subscribe button, so you get notifications.  Otherwise, if you’re not on my email list to get emails each week telling stories and about the new podcast, then head to my website and join up!

But that’s it for episode 287. If you loved this episode and found it valuable, please take 30 seconds out of your day to leave me a rating and review if you want where you are listening.

Do you have a friend who might like to listen in too? Can I ask a favour and have you share this episode with them? I’d love that and appreciate it SO much.

Again, I’d love you to join in the community in the Like Minded Business Owners Facebook group. You can join the group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/LikeMindedBusinessOwners

Oh and before I go, did you get a chance to listen to last week’s episode? Again about amplifiers and that time is was about using podcasting as an amplifier. It’s definitely worth a listen – head back there and listen in. www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au/286

See you next week on the podcast for episode 288.

But in the meantime, let’s hang out on social and get social on social – you’ll find me on Instagram, Facebook and my fav LinkedIn.

But whatever you do,

…….. remember small business peep, as my opening song says, there’s no point in dreaming small!
