Hey there, my fabulous listener, welcome to episode 79 of the Small Business Made Simple Podcast.

Thank you for lending me your ears today – I know you have lots of choices, so I sincerely appreciate me being one of them!

If you’re a first time listener, super super welcome, I am so pleased to have you here.  I am your host Jenn Donovan, and, it’s my job, via this podcast, social media and everywhere else actually, to make your business life simpler.

I’m a thought leader when it comes to marketing here in Australia and I’m a marketing strategist for small business.

Why? Because business can be lonely and hard and complicated and it’s hardly ever easy, but it should be simple or at least simpler, so that’s my commitment you to on the Small Business Made Simple podcast!

One way I help to make your life simpler is by having a group of like-minded business owners all in one stop.  To ask questions, get answers and enjoy the journey of business! If you haven’t joined the Like Minded Business Owners Facebook Group, then hope over there after this episode and join!  Simply search Like Minded Business Owners in Facebook or come to the show notes for the like.  Show notes are at www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au/79

This episode is brought to you by my new mini marketing makeover workshop.  I think, given everything we have been through in the past 6 months, it’s time to knuckle down and take a look at our marketing.

In the workshop (which is actually a webinar) we go through the 4 essential marketing ingredients for business success.   We look at your messaging, your methodology, your marketing strategy and your mindset.  These 4 key marketing ingredients, if done well, will propel your business from current state (where your business is now) to your desired state – reaching those freaking business goals you’ve set.

It’s free, it’s mini and it’s just what your business needs right now to ensure it’s in tip top shape to take on the rest of 2020.

The mini marketing makeover workshop will be held on Tuesday 14th July at 10 am to 12 pm AEST.  It will be recorded, and you will get a copy – so if you can’t make it – sign up for the replay and you can ask any questions you might have in the Like Minded Business Owners Group.

This week I have a guest, Sam Winch, who is coming on to chat to us about course creation.

Like a lot of my connections these days, I haven’t met Sam in real life (yet!  The call is to put on a party one day and invite all the people I have never meet face to face around for a glass of wine!)

But as many of you will appreciate – that just doesn’t matter!  Sam and I converse over social media, share, like, tag each other in things our respective audiences would find value in and call ourselves friends – just online friends!

So, when Sam asked if my audience would find some value in talking about course creation – and if she could come on the podcast – the answer was Hell yes!

Covid 19 has seen many businesses pivot online – and loads of courses popping up – I’m a buyer of a few of them!

Whether you have ever thought about building an online course for your audience or not, I promise you by the end of this interview, it will be an earworm and that thought that just might have the opportunity to grow if you nurture it and are open to the possibility.

I love the way Sam explains that courses or e-courses are just a way of showing your audience what you probably are continually talking about anyway – that an e-course can stop those repetitive conversations you are having.  Service based or retail based – it doesn’t matter, and Sam will prove it!

So, let’s get into it.

I hope you enjoyed that, and I hope Sam inspired you to think a little left of field on how you could create a course in your business to help your audience solve one of their challenges or roadblocks.

But, that’s all for episode 79, I’ll be back next Thursday with another great episode to help you simplify your business in 2020.

Don’t forget to sign up for the mini marketing makeover webinar on 14th July – here’s that link again https://bit.ly/minimarketingmakeover

If you’re enjoying this podcast, which if you have listened to here – you hopefully are, don’t forget to subscribe, share this episode with another superstar business owner who’s doing the daily grind and would appreciate someone making their business simpler, and leave a rating or review to show how much you are loving this free weekly content.

Massive love coming your way if you do!

See you next week on the podcast for episode 80.  But in the meantime, let’s hang out on social and get social on social – you’ll find me on Instagram, Facebook and my fav LinkedIn.

But whatever you do,

……..remember small business peeps, as my opening song says, there’s no point in dreaming small!
